Antique Vintage Tennis Racket Racquet. This is a Wright & Ditson with Cork Handle. Model is in black lettering on top of frame but unreadable, see photo. The wedge has gold lettering Wright & Ditson Boston with Swirl & 3 dots & 3 lines. Stamped into side is 13 oz and on wedge are letters L & B. Has leather and cloth collar. 2 screws at throat area. Handle is all Cork and

10 1/2" long. Stringing and trebling looks to be original with breaks in stringing, trebling intact. Length is 27 1/4". Solid and straight great condition for age.
NOTE: Because model is not readable and checking Jeanne Cherry's book for W&D cork handled and convex wedge it could be any of the following models : Chase, Club, Country Club, Hub, Pettit Tournament, Sears, or Sears Special. Safe to say based on lettering on racket you could eliminate the Country Club, Pettit Tournament and Sears Special.
