Framed 1863 00 Confederate States Of America Bond Sheet Criswell-125 Ball-201

Description

This CSA bond was issued in Richmond.  It is Criswell number 125 and Ball number 201. The 00 bond serial number 2249 authorized by the Act of 20 February 1863 was issued on 2 March 1863. It was lithographed by Evans & Cogwill, Columbia SC.  It was signed by Robert Tyler. It features President Jefferson Davis and a view of Richmond from the west. Upon close inspection of this bond sheet through the glass, it shows minimal wear or creasing, no holes or paper loss, and only two small detractions. Two small white dots at center and right which is the original paper color somehow preserved in those location. This bond sheet is an extremely fine example, well preserved, and ready to be hung.
