Description:
Collection of 5 vintage borderless photographs from the 1991 film including one of Jacques Rivette and Emmanuelle Beart on the set.
Inspired by Balzac's novella "Le chef-d'oeuvre inconnu," Jacques Rivette's "La Belle Noiseuse" ("The Beautiful Troublemaker") is a masterful 4 hour study of the creative process and the emotional tolls taken on artist, model and family.
A once famous, now reclusive painter Frenhofer (Piccoli) and his wife Liz (Jane Birkin) are visited by a young artist Nicolas (David Bursztein) and his girlfriend Marianne (Beart). Frenhofer is inspired to take up work on a painting, "La Belle Noiseuse" he abandoned a decade earlier, with Marianne replacing the former model, Liz.
Set in and shot on location in Assas, Herault, France.
One photograph 5 x 7 inches, remaining four photographs 7 x 5 inches. Near Fine, very light edgewear.
