Up for auction today is a vintage, soft-cover Craft Publications Inc. macrame craft pattern book entitled “Macrame Animal Art Vol. II” by Susan Shwartz.

Macrame may have no limits! If ever anything supported this idea, it’s Susan Schwartz’s animals. So if your macramé projects are beginning to seem like “the same old thing”—try these. Sculpturing with macramé is a whole new approach.
Animal Art
demonstrates unique uses of cord and knots, unusual techniques. All the old macramé “rules” are thrown out, and the one new rule is: if it creates what you’re after—do it.
This collection of designs ranges from easy to rather complicated. If you’re new to macramé, or even to macramé sculpturing, you may wish to start with the panda, the snail or the skunk. The most complex designs of this collection are the chimpanzee and the lamb. Whichever you choose, it will be interesting, inspiring and fun!
The animal designs have such appeal you may want to make them all. (And you don’t have to feed them a thing.)

The pictures you see above are as follows: Front cover, Chumpy the Chimp and Patches the Panda projects, Cotton-Knot the White Rabbit project, Homespun the Lamb project, Stinkeroo project, and Shelldon Snail & Giblet the Turkey projects.
The pattern book itself is in good condition. The front cover shows slight wear, including light staining. There’s a medium amount of sticker residue, from where a price sticker used to be, located near the upper right hand corner. There’s light scuffing to the corners. There’s light scuffing along the bottom edge. There’s very light scuffing along the top and right side edges. There’s a tiny tear and a small crease located along the top edge (these show through to the inside of the front cover). There’s a small crease in the lower right hand corner. There are several other small scratch, scuff, and crease marks throughout. There’s a medium amount of creasing and a heavier amount scuffing along the spine. The back cover shows light staining. There’s a small crease in the lower left hand and upper right hand corners (these show through to the inside of the back cover). There’s light scuffing to the corners. There’s light scuffing along the bottom edge. There are several other small scratch, scuff, and crease marks throughout. The inside of the front and back cover and the main pages very lightly yellowed. The inside of the back cover also shows light staining. Some of the pages also have a small crease in a corner. However, all of the pages are still fully legible.
SHIPPING INFORMATION
As soon as I receive your payment, I will process the item for shipment. I will ship your item the same day I receive your payment and if I can’t do that, I guarantee I will ship it the next day. (Keep in mind I can’t ship on Sunday or Holidays that the post office recognizes.)
Your shipping cost will include delivery confirmation / tracking number, so that you can keep track of the package throughout the shipping process. It also includes the cost of packaging materials that will keep your items safe during shipping. At times I use clean, recycled packaging supplies. I DO NOT make money off shipping.
I accept returns only if I have misrepresented the item in some way, or the item is damaged during shipment. I try to be as thorough and as picky as possible in my descriptions but I am only human. If you do have a problem with an item, please contact me before leaving feedback and I will be happy to help you.
PAYMENT INFORMATION
I would appreciate payment within 7 days. However, I am flexible. If for some reason you cannot send payment within 7 days, please contact me. If I haven’t heard from you, and more than 3 days have passed, I will send you a friendly reminder.
If no payment has been received after 7 days, and I have not heard from you, I will turn the transaction in to eBay as a non-payment.
I will be happy to combine shipping for multiple auction wins. Please wait until all the items you are bidding on have ended to pay, so that I can send a combined invoice.
