  • Condition: Excellent, Peck & Snyder "The Beeckman" Early Transitional Flat-Top Antique Lawn Tennis Racquet - c1887. From Jeanne Cherry's Personal Collection. A Beauty! This Rare all original Peck & Snyder is very close to being a Flat-Top, but it is a very early example of a Transitional Flat-Top racquet with a solid wedge and marked The "Beeckman" in gold lettering, over the early Peck & Snyder trademark mark logo. Beautifully strung with antique natural thick gut dense strings with trebling at the top all intact. The racquet is straight with an attractive dark amber patina; however, there are scrapes, dings, scratches, and dirt as expected on an early antique Peck & Snyder Transitional Flat-Top racquet. The wood butt cap is missing. This extremely desirable early racquet is in original antique condition. See all photos.
