Rare Vintage "Cleveland" by Horsman Antique Wooden Tennis Racquet Ca. 1895Made by E. I. Horsman Co. out of New York. Horseman is the oldest American tennis racquet maker, and a highly sought-after brand. This rare "Cleveland" model (Ca. 1895) is an example of a transitional flat top design, as racquets were moving to a more common oval configuration. Labeled as strung with "Oriental Gut" and stamped "12 oz." on side of handle. Leather butt cap.
26 1/4" long, 8 1/2" wide, 4 1/4" grip.
Good condition for over 100 years old. Some broken strings, missing about half the leather on the end cap. Clean, nonsmoking home. See all pictures.
