    STORIS provided  ALPAT, SAR and LE capabilities in Alaskan waters.
    This patch was introduced before 1973 and remained in use into the 1980s.
    It is a new, large size 5" wide and 4.7" tall color patch.
    It is machine sewn, 60% embroidered on dark blue cloth, with black merrowing
    and an unsealed (sew-on only), sewn-thru coarse cheesecloth, back.
