DAYTON STEEL TENNIS RAQUET
.
This is a Dayton steel racket. It measures 26 ¾” long, wood portion is 11 ½”. It has a metal throat and head with steel strings. The racquet face is 12" x 9" The Dayton diamond emblem on handle and gold lettering has faded . There should be a label on the butt of the racquet but it has worn off.
There are a few breaks in the steel strings, and someone has taped them together. You can see remnants of the original red paint or stain on the wooden handle.
I believe this may be a somewhat rare racquet. What a great Man Cave piece for the wall. Well worn but still functional.
